FAQ
Why Chelan?
Chelan has always held a special place in Hannah’s heart. She grew up spending summers there-boating, surfing, celebrating the Fourth of July, and making lifelong memories with family. When Hank came into her life, she shared this meaningful place with him, and together they created their own memories on the lake and at local wineries. Chelan is more than a setting for their wedding; it’s part of their story, blending childhood nostalgia with the beginning of their forever.
Pronunciations
Chelan is pronounced “shuh-L-anne”
Wenatchee is pronounced “wuh-NAT-chee”
Don't overthink it and don’t worry—locals are used to hearing creative versions, but now you’ll sound like a pro.
What will the weather be like?
Expect hot, sunny days and cooler evenings. Summer in Chelan often brings 80–100°F during the day and drops into the 70s at night. You can expect beautiful, dry weather with virtually no humidity. Pack layers, sunscreen, and sunglasses!
What is the best way to get around Chelan?
We recommend renting a car from whichever airport you fly into to ensure easy transportation throughout the week / weekend.
While Uber technically operates in Chelan, rides are extremely limited and often unavailable due to the rural location, so it should not be relied upon for transportation.

Irish Exit?
When your evening feels complete, we lovingly ask that you take the Irish Exit—simply slip away quietly and carry the joy of the night home with you. No need to find us for goodbyes; we’ll be lost in the magic of the evening.
Can I bring a plus one?
We kindly ask that only those formally listed on the invitation attend, as our venue has limited capacity and cannot accommodate additional guests.
Can I bring my children?
While we adore your little ones, only children specifically named on the invitation are included, as the venue counts them as full guests and we’ve reserved those spots for close cousins. We hope you enjoy a well-deserved night off and look forward to celebrating with you!

Our Story
Every great love story starts somewhere - Hannah and Hank’s began on a warm October night in 2020, in a crowded New York City apartment filled with zebra stripes, glitter, and lots of white claw.
Hannah, a senior at the Fashion Institute of Technology, was living in Manhattan with her roommate Cameron (who now stands beside her as a bridesmaid). That night, they were headed to a costume birthday party with a playful theme: come dressed as your favorite alcohol. Always one to commit, Hannah finally had a reason to wear the zebra cowgirl outfit she’d been saving - she went as Jungle Juice. Cameron followed in a fiery two-piece as Fireball. Their commitment to the theme may have been unmatched, especially since most guests barely dressed up at all.
Hank had just moved to the city after college, settling into his first job. He arrived at the same party, entirely unaware of the costume theme. Somewhere between the hallway and the kitchen, Hannah—midway through looking for a purse she later realized she never brought - locked eyes with Hank. Her first words to him?
“My dad is your height.”
They didn’t exchange numbers that night. But something stuck.
Weeks later, fate (and Hinge) brought them back together. Hank reached out, and they met up for a night that felt like a beginning - full of laughter, shared stories, and that unshakable sense that something special had just started. But as the holidays rolled in and life picked up speed, their connection slowly faded into missed texts and fleeting Snapchat replies.
Until the following spring.
In April 2021, Hannah sent Hank a simple message:
“I’m back.”
He replied: “For real this time?”
This time, she was.
That spring, they became inseparable. Days turned into weeks, filled with slow walks, late-night talks, and the kind of comfort that feels like home. By May, they made it official. In June, Hank met Hannah’s entire family when they flew in from Washington for her graduation. It was quick, but nothing ever felt rushed. It just felt right.
Then came a twist - Hannah received an offer from her dream company, Free People, in Philadelphia. Though they were newly in love and thriving in New York, she knew she had to take the leap. So began a year of long-distance: Amtrak rides, FaceTime calls, weekend visits, and learning to love each other from a far. It turned out to be the year that sealed their bond, falling in love in a new city, in a Center City apartment, just the two of them.
A year later, Hannah knew:
Philadelphia wasn’t forever. But Hank was.
She accepted a new job in New York. Hank drove a U-Haul across state lines to bring her home. They moved into a cozy apartment beneath the High Line in Chelsea, where they’ve spent the last three years building a life - one full of adventure, laughter, and love.
Their favorite thing to do together?
Travel. Explore. Experience the world, side by side.
Now, they’re stepping into the next chapter of their story. With open hearts, full gratitude, and the quiet certainty that whatever comes next, they’ll face it together.
Because some love stories aren’t just coincidence.
They’re written in the stars.
And this one was always meant to find its way back.
